In times when keywords such as digitisation and workplace 4.0 are playing an increasingly important role, Canon has completely redesigned its German headquarters in Krefeld. A highlight: the new Customer Experience Center realized by the D' art Design Group.
At first glance, the Customer Experience Center (CEC) appears minimalist and elegant and plays with a combination of generosity, light and sustainability. A superordinate zoning in "Prologue" to brand and company,“Experience” with products and services and "Meeting" with conference and working rooms enables a structured and at the same time varied approach to the Canon brand.
With elements such as room-high bamboo sticks, the interior designers of the D' art Design Group allude to the Japanese origin of the company Canon, explaining the corporate philosophy “Kyosei”, which stands for life and work for the common good, on a wall.
Augmented and Virtual Reality play an important role
The absolute highlight of the Customer Experience Center is the application examples of Canon's product range arranged in the home ambience: award-winning press photos, 3D prints, furniture or book printing show the impressive variety and make it tangible in the truest sense of the word. Techniques such as Augmented and Virtual Reality are also used to offer visitors to the new German headquarters even more opportunities to get to know the innovative company.
