Inspired by its own Spring/Summer 2015 show, Italian label Ermenegildo Zegna Couture releases a campaign that reinterprets the dichotomy between architecture and open space. The central element is a roof terrace in industrial chic style: it combines the metropolized skyline with the feeling of freedom that roof terraces convey. Symbolically, however, it simultaneously stands for the “Zegna man”, who on the one hand radiates dominating character, but also enjoys the personal sense of freedom.

On the one hand, the models embody understatement through the modern but detailed couture garments, but on the other hand, they also embody strength and self-confidence, which are supported by the extraordinary photographic perspective. The “new” Zegna man uses the right combination of dignified colors with textures and patterns to express his demand for modern aesthetics and his self-confident style.
Staged by Inez & Vinoodh, the campaign of the couture line represents strength, contrasts and an undisputed individual style. The Dutch photographer duo manages to capture metropolitan character, dynamics and the contrasts of couture and industrial architecture in just one motif, which thus has an almost cinematographic character.
