DIOR has opened a new flagship store in Munich. Since 24 May, the latest women's and men's collections as well as shoes, accessories and leather goods by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Kim Jones have been presented in the heart of Munich on the famous promenade. For the first time in DIOR's history, the men's and women's divisions will be united in one store, an absolute highlight. The architect Peter Marino is once again responsible for this, having once again created a consistent design concept for DIOR.
Peter Marino is no stranger to retail design. The American architect and art collector has already worked for brands such as Armani, Calvin Klein, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Fendi and continues to set new highlights. The exciting furnishing features of the DIOR Boutique Munich include Pierre Paulin's fuchsia-coloured armchairs and works of art such as “Periwinkle Dream” by Martin Kline and “Miami Landscape” by Ugo Rondinone, which stylishly round off the room concept.
On the other hand, critics Peter Marino repeatedly accuse that the stores he designs resemble each other again and again. A point that we see differently, as the DIOR Boutique shows in an impressive way. But we would like to hear your feedback: What do you think about the new flagship store?
